Sheltered Housing
A Sheltered Housing complex is a group of self-contained
flats or bungalows with a warden or manager keeping
in regular contact with the residents. The warden/manager
can call for the appropriate help if needed. The warden
will generally not be able to provide care himself.
Sheltered Housing appeals to people who would like
to remain independent but wish to have the security
of knowing someone is close at hand.

Emergency alarm call system is fitted in each flat or
bungalow
Communal facilities sometimes available
Disadvantages
No care provided, although this can be arranged separately
Accommodation can be small
